ipod touch 5 :

Apple is very likely to unveil its fifth-generation iPod touch at a special event in September, regardless of whether or not it resembles the prototype. A capacitive button if it reaches the final model could signal design changes coming across the entire iOS line. It may prove controversial since it could lead to accidental button presses that aren't as likely with the current click-in button.

The storage may be the most probable upgrade, since Apple hasn't gone past 64GB on the iPod touch since the capacity was added in late 2009.

A purported Leak may have given away either Apple's recent or future plans for the iPod touch. An engineering sample with a DVT-1 (Design Verification Test) badge has a design similar to that of the current iPod touch but with what appears to be a capacitive, touch-sensitive home button instead of the usual physical model. The CrunchGear photos also show it with firmware lit carrying 128GB of total storage, which hasn't been seen before in an iPod touch model.

ipod touch 5 : Software Based Updates

The most dominant update to be mentioned in an iPod Touch 5 review will not be based on the hardware or exclusive to the iPod Touch 5, but may also be shared by the iphone5and the iPad 2. What we saw with the iPod Touch 4 was that many of the major requests by iPod users, such as the camera, had been granted. What we can expect from the future may be a de-emphasis on hardware changes and shift into creating more involved software and communication systems for the iPod Touch

The yearly update for the iPod Touch is quickly approaching, and right now speculation is light as to what will be included in the iPod Touch 5.The release of the iPod Touch 4 matched much of what dominated the iPhone 4, except the problems that were exclusive to the cell phone service. When previewing the iPod Touch 5, we have to go beyond what was included in the ipod touch 4 and where the gaps are still in what users want and what Apple may provide. Here is an iPod Touch 5 review with a look at what we may find in the next release.

iPhone 5 : iPod touch 5 releases finally align post white iPhone 4

Of all the ramifications of the recent white iPhone 4 release and the iPhone 5 delay it almost certainly signals, one of the most overlooked is that for the first time, new generations of the iPhone and iPod touch will apparently debut alongside each other. And that’ll leave the iPad 3 as the only iOS device to debut on its own – unless Apple has more up its sleeve come 2012. But in the mean time, what’s the significance of the two pocket sized iOS devices being revamped at the same time? Perhaps more than meets the eye.
